Introduction
The Ultrasound Department at Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital spans two wards in the main campus, covering over 1,400 square meters with 45 diagnostic rooms. Additional diagnostic facilities are located in the branch hospital, health examination department, VIP clinic, and emergency department. The department is equipped with 58 high-end color Doppler ultrasound machines, including both imported and domestic models. It manages daily ultrasound diagnostics, consultations for complex cases, and some health examination tasks, encompassing almost all ultrasound-related diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The department handles an average of 1,500 cases daily and over 500,000 cases annually, including 335,000 outpatient and inpatient cases and more than 8,000 ultrasound-guided interventional procedures each year.
